Pope's message played at DJ Priest's rave in Slovakia

An enjoyable event took place in the Slovak city of Košice.

Pope Leo XIV’s message was heard during an electronic music rave dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of Catholic Archbishop Bernard Bober.

Father Guillerme, known as DJ Priest, published a video showing the Pope blessing the crowd on November 8th at the Hungarian St. Elizabeth Cathedral in Košice, Slovakia.

An opinion and information were circulating on the Internet that the Catholic pontiff confirmed all this. Given the interest among the Catholic community, the Catholic News Agency addressed the issue, noting that the information about the Pope hosting or organizing the rave is exaggerated. The Vatican supported the event, the Pope gave his blessing, but the rave was organized and carried out by the diocese of Peištó and Kosice.

It should be noted that Portuguese Catholic priest Guilherme Peixoto, known by the pseudonym DJ Priest or Padre Guilherme, has served in the Archdiocese of Braga since 1999 as an administrative priest in Loundos and Amorim.
