Turkey's National Security Council meeting discussed Armenia and Azerbaijan

A meeting of the Turkish National Security Council was held under the chairmanship of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after which a statement was issued. Armenia and Azerbaijan were also mentioned.

“Taking into account the recent positive developments in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the possibilities of bilateral and regional cooperation were discussed. Our commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and development in the South Caucasus was reaffirmed,” the statement said.

The current situation in the Russian-Ukrainian war was assessed, the importance of pursuing diplomatic solutions was emphasized amid developments that raise the risk of escalating tensions, and it was noted that Turkey will continue its efforts, together with international partners, to establish a lasting and just peace.
