Putin approved the Russian state national policy strategy

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the "State National Policy Strategy". It will be in effect until 2036.

The document aims to coordinate the activities of federal and regional authorities, local governments, and civil society institutions in national policy. The government will approve the plan of measures to implement the strategy.

The decree states that the national policy implemented since 2012 has been recognized as effective, ensuring political and social stability and strengthening the unity of Russia's multinational people. At the same time, it is emphasized that problems in international relations are becoming more acute due to attempts by "unfriendly countries" to divide society, the growth of global Russophobia, and the "blurring" of spiritual, moral, cultural, and historical values as a result of globalization.

The strategy also mentions the following threats to national security:

- high concentration of ethnic communities in certain territories as a result of migration,

- use of NGOs to promote the interests of states at the expense of the interests of other countries,

- spread of separatism, religious and national radicalism.

The document emphasizes that protecting the "new regions" from the "Kiev regime" and their reunification with Russia have created conditions for the unity of historical territories and sparked patriotic enthusiasm.

The main goals of the strategy until 2036

- consolidation of the Russian nationality and reduction of conflicts on national grounds,

- fight against neo-Nazism, Russophobia, racism, and xenophobia,

- strengthening the international image of Russia as a legal state.

Target indicators:

- The share of Russians who positively assess relations between representatives of different nationalities is not less than 85%,

- The level of all-Russian identity is not less than 95%,

- The share of citizens who note the absence of national and linguistic discrimination is not less than 90%.

The basis of Russian nationality is qualified in the strategy as civil unity based on a standard cultural code, the axis of which is the preservation and development of Russian culture and the Russian language. It is planned to combat the excessive use of foreign vocabulary among young people and popularize the Russian literary language.
