Trump's plan for Ukraine was not officially communicated to Russia; Moscow received it through unofficial channels. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this.
He noted that Russia expects the United States to provide an intermediate version of the plan, which is agreed with the Europeans and Ukrainians. The Russian Foreign Minister added that Russia would not be satisfied if the "letter and spirit of Anchorage" were "erased" from a possible peace plan for Ukraine.
"Russia expects from the United States the version of the plan that they consider to be intermediate at the stage of agreement with Europe and Ukrainians," Lavrov stated.
