Putin had a telephone conversation with Erdogan; they exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, including in the context of the United States' proposed settlement.
The Kremlin said in a statement that the version of the proposals that President Putin got acquainted with corresponds to the Russian-American discussions in Alaska and, in principle, can serve as the basis for a final peaceful settlement.
"Erdogan expressed his readiness to provide all possible assistance to the negotiation process, continuing to make the Istanbul platform available for these purposes," the Kremlin reported.
The parties agreed to intensify Russian-Turkish contacts on the Ukrainian issue at various levels.
