Attack in Pakistan: Terrorists attack the Border Guard headquarters

Three suicide bombers attacked a border guard headquarters in the Pakistani city of Peshawar this morning. Three soldiers were killed, and at least five others were injured.

According to police, the attackers first opened fire, then stormed the headquarters and blew themselves up there.

“The first suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the main entrance, while the other two went inside,” Reuters reported.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army Javed Iqbal confirmed the death of three soldiers. “The army and police have cordoned off the area. Operations are being carried out with caution, as we suspect that there are still terrorists inside the headquarters,” the official added.

The attack took place in a densely populated area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The road has been closed, and security forces have cordoned off the area.

Five of the injured, including two border guards, were taken to the hospital.
