Russia has received the 28-point US peace plan. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this.
According to him, the US did not publicly discuss the Ukrainian peace plan, but only presented it in general terms. This happened before the meeting in Alaska. At that time, Russia confirmed that, despite the difficulties, it agreed with the US settlement proposals.
The US asked Russia to accept certain compromises. Russia agreed to show flexibility in its approach to the Ukrainian settlement. After the Alaska talks, the US paused its steps following Ukraine's rejection.
"The US has so far been unable to obtain the consent of the Ukrainian side and therefore is not discussing its plan with Russia. Russia is ready for peace talks and a peaceful settlement of the problems in Ukraine," Putin said.
