Kobakhidze and the Azerbaijani Interior Minister discussed the importance of stability in the region

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vilayat Eyvazov, who is in Georgia on an official visit.

During the meeting, the existing practical cooperation between the two countries and the prospects for further deepening the strategic partnership were discussed. The successful bilateral collaboration between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Azerbaijan, which has developed over the years, was particularly emphasized. It was noted that the agreement signed today by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries will further strengthen this cooperation, especially in crime prevention, detection, and suppression.

The importance of ensuring stability and lasting peace in the region was also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze, Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan Faig Guliyev.
