The authoritative American news outlet Axios reports that the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump's special representative, Steve Witkoff, scheduled for today in Turkey, has been canceled.
"Witkoff was expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey on Wednesday, but he postponed his trip, Ukrainian and US officials said," the newspaper writes.
The Economist also reports that talks between Steve Witkoff and Zelensky's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, have been canceled.
According to the publication, the reason is the corruption scandal that has erupted in Ukraine, and Witkoff was not aware of it before arranging the meeting.
