The US Embassy in Georgia reports that US State Department Representative Jonathan Askonasin, who arrived in the country, will discuss Georgia’s support for TRIPP with the Foreign Ministry and government staff.
“The purpose of the visit is to discuss how Georgia can support the Trump Path to International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP). This transport route is a result of the peace summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan held on August 8, mediated by the United States.
This morning, Dr. Askonas visited the Sadakhlo Motor customs checkpoint, which was primarily built and equipped with the support of the United States. As part of the visit, he will also meet with representatives of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government administration, as well as international financial institutions,” the US Embassy in Georgia said in a statement.
