G20 summit without the leaders of China, Russia, and the US

Chinese President Xi Jinping will skip the G20 summit in South Africa. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Beijing will be represented at the summit by Premier Li Keqiang.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump also refused to attend the G20 summit, calling the situation in South Africa “a complete disgrace.”

“No representative of the US government will attend this summit as long as these human rights violations continue,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will also not travel to South Africa. Deputy Chief of Staff Maxim Oreshkin will head the Russian delegation.

The G20 summit will be held in Johannesburg on November 21-22.
