The foreign ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the High Representative of the European Union (G-7 countries), issued a statement reaffirming their continued support for Ukraine in defending its territorial integrity and right to exist.
“We affirmed the need for an immediate ceasefire. We agreed that the current line of contact should be the starting point for negotiations. We remain committed to the principle that international borders should not be changed by force,” the statement said.
The parties also expressed their support for President Trump’s initiative to establish peace in Gaza.
