British Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Keir Starmer could soon lose his party position as a result of an internal “conspiracy,” Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources in the party.
Starmer’s position could be shaken after the presentation of a controversial budget in late November.
The candidates for the new leader include Health Secretary Wes Streeting, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, Energy Secretary Ed Miliband, and former Transport Secretary Louise Hague.
Streeting’s representative denied that he had any ambitions for the position. Starmer’s supporters said he was ready to fight for his position.
The Labour Party is also losing popularity. This is happening against the backdrop of the growing popularity of Nigel Farage’s right-wing Reform Party.
