The United States is sending mixed signals to Iran about the nuclear talks through third parties.
According to Reuters, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh made the statement during the 12th Strategic Dialogue in Abu Dhabi.
He said that Iran wants to reach a peaceful nuclear deal but will not compromise on national security.
He stressed Tehran's position that Iran does not seek to build nuclear weapons and said that Iran is proud of its nuclear program, which is based on its domestic potential.
