One of the largest Chinese companies refuses Russian oil

Reuters reports that one of China's largest refiners, Yanchang Petroleum, has stopped buying Russian oil due to US sanctions.

The refinery has previously regularly purchased Russian oil. However, a series of recent Western sanctions on Russian oil supplies has led Chinese state-owned oil companies and some Indian refiners to shy away from buying it, experts told Reuters, citing fears of secondary sanctions.

Yanchang Petroleum is one of China's largest refineries, with a processing capacity of 348,000 barrels per day.
