The official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Aykhan Hajizadeh, spoke about the meeting in the “3+3” format and noted that Azerbaijan was the initiator of the platform.
“Within the framework of this mechanism, established on December 10, 2021, 3 meetings have been held to date, including in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul. The last time, during the meeting in Istanbul in October of last year, we attempted to include a provision in the final document stating that Azerbaijan and Armenia would organize the relevant meetings; however, Armenia opposed it. We believe that the next meeting in this format must be held in Azerbaijan,” he said.
