Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received a NATO delegation, with which he discussed the prospects for his country's cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Azerbaijani presidency reported this.
The delegation included the permanent representatives of Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, as well as the deputy permanent representatives of the United States and France to the alliance.
Aliyev emphasized that the Azerbaijani army is being brought up to NATO standards, and in this regard, close cooperation is being conducted with the Turkish military.
He noted that the process of modernization of the country's armed forces will continue.
