The Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament spoke harshly about Armenian MPs

Georgian Parliament Deputy Speaker Nino Tsilasani expressed regret that Armenian MPs were among the signatories of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly resolution on Georgia, Georgian media reported.

Tsilasani stated that the Armenian MPs who signed the document expressed no confidence in the Prime Minister with this step.

“By supporting the resolution, which states that the Georgian government is illegitimate, the Armenian MPs have in fact expressed no confidence in their Prime Minister, since the Armenian Prime Minister has made official and working visits to Georgia and had meetings with the government elected by the people,” Tsilasani stated.

She emphasized that the resolution adopted at the last plenary session of the Euronest PA in Yerevan is meaningless and lacks substance.

It should be noted that the document refers to the Georgian parliamentary elections, which took place on October 26 of last year, as “false” and the government as “self-proclaimed.” In response, the Georgian delegation announced its refusal to participate in future sessions of the Euronest PA.
