US President Donald Trump has ordered the US military to resume nuclear weapons testing immediately. This is the first such test in 33 years.
Minutes before his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, he posted on the Truth Social platform:
“As other countries are conducting testing programs, I have instructed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons. This process will begin immediately,” Trump wrote, adding that in terms of nuclear weapons, “Russia is second and China is third, but in five years they will be equal.”
