Amazon to make significant investment in South Korea

American technology giant Amazon will invest $5 billion in South Korea by 2031, in particular in the construction of artificial intelligence data centers.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman has announced plans to invest more than $5 billion (€4.3 billion) by 2031, including the construction of new artificial intelligence data centers in the Incheon and Gyeonggi regions.

Matt Garman pledged during a meeting with President Lee Myung-bak on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju.
