Threat of crocodile invasion after storm in Jamaica

Hurricane Melissa, the strongest in the country's history, has battered Jamaica. Winds of up to 295 km/h have torn roofs off houses, knocked down trees and power lines, and caused landslides and flooding.

Five hundred thirty thousand households have been left without electricity, and authorities have warned of the risk of crocodile invasion. At least three people have died. Jamaica has been declared a disaster zone.

Now "Melissa" is approaching Cuba, where 735,000 people have been evacuated. Next in the storm's path will be the Bahamas.
