Moscow is ready to accept Washington's concept

Moscow is ready to accept the US concept for settling the Ukraine conflict, as announced at the Anchorage summit, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin [in Alaska] repeated in detail every element of the concept presented by Wittkoff and asked him, since he was present at the Anchorage talks: ‘Is this true? Is this so?’ Everything was confirmed,” the diplomat noted.

According to Lavrov, President Putin then stated that “Russia is ready to accept their concept and move forward practically on the proposed basis.” The diplomat noted that there was no direct response.

Lavrov added that the sides agreed to take a break to discuss the proposals and the results of the talks with allies.
