On October 22, the United States imposed financial sanctions against the Russian company Lukoil and its subsidiaries in which the company has a stake of more than 50%.
Among them is the Austrian-registered LUKOIL International GmbH, which owns 100% of Lukoil Georgia's shares. Accordingly, the financial sanctions also apply to the company's Georgian subsidiary.
The company operates in Georgia through 24 owned, 26 leased, and 10 franchised gas stations across all regions of the country.
