The EU is preparing a new blow for the Kremlin

Kaja Kallas said the European Union could approve the 19th package of sanctions against Russia as early as Thursday. One of the topics of discussion is the fight against the shadow fleet, which helps the Kremlin circumvent restrictions.

EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas also commented on the possible meeting of Putin and Trump in Hungary.

“It is unpleasant to see a person wanted by the International Criminal Court come to a European country,” she said.

The new package of sanctions provides for the refusal of Russian liquefied gas, tightening control over the circumvention of sanctions, and limiting the Kremlin’s access to EU technology and finance.
