During a meeting at the White House on Friday, US President Donald Trump refused to give Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky the Tomahawk missiles, Axios reports, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
“Trump told Zelensky that he had no intention of providing long-range Tomahawk missiles, at least not yet,” the outlet reported.
According to the media, Zelensky had hoped to leave Washington with an agreement on new weapons for Ukraine, but that did not happen. According to the sources, Trump made it clear that his priority now is diplomacy, and he believes that providing Tomahawk missiles could undermine it.
