Katz orders a plan to be prepared if Hamas abandons the ceasefire agreement

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the Israeli military to prepare a “comprehensive plan against Hamas” in the event of a ceasefire violation in Gaza.

Katz met with IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior generals.

The defense minister ordered the military to prepare a “plan for the destruction of Hamas if the movement refuses to implement the ceasefire agreement and resumes attacks.”

Katz noted that US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan envisages the disarmament of the exclave and said that Israel, together with US-led international forces, intends to begin the process of destroying Hamas tunnels.

He added that if Hamas refuses to implement the terms of the agreement, Israel “will resume strikes in coordination with the US.”
