Hamas militants handed over the bodies of two more dead hostages to the Red Cross on the evening of October 15. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) wrote on Telegram that the two coffins, accompanied by forces from the Israel Defense Forces and the General Security Service (Shield), had crossed the border and were heading to the National Center for Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv for identification.
Hamas representatives said they had handed over to Israel all the bodies they “were able to reach.” The radical group claims that searching for and recovering the bodies of the remaining dead Israeli hostages “will require significant efforts and specialized equipment,” the Ynet portal reported.
