Pentagon chief's plane makes emergency landing in the UK

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth's plane made an emergency landing in the UK after a cracked windshield, US media reported.

The US government plane, a Boeing C-32A (a military version of the Boeing 757), was flying from Brussels, Belgium, to Washington, D.C., and was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK.

The emergency landing was made at Mildenhall Air Force Base, one of the most important centers of US military aviation.

According to reports, about 30 minutes into the flight, the plane sent a Squawk 7700 signal indicating an emergency. According to flight data, the aircraft descended from 35,000 feet to 10,000 feet in a matter of minutes, which is the standard altitude in case of a possible cabin depressurization.

The signs of distress appeared as the plane approached the southern coast of Ireland. It is reported that a crack was found in the cockpit windshield, but the cause remains unclear.
