Turkey beats Georgia by a landslide in a match attended by the presidents

Turkey defeated Georgia 4-1 in a World Cup qualifier.

The fate of the match in the Turkish city of Izmit was decided in the first half. The Turkish team scored three unanswered goals against the Georgians, and in the second half, they added another, to which the Georgian side responded with a goal.

It is noteworthy that the presidents of Turkey and Georgia, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Mikhail Kavelashvili, watched the match from the stands.

The second consecutive defeat (after losing to Spain 0:2) has complicated the Georgian team's situation in the qualifying group.

The Spanish team, after defeating Bulgaria, is the group leader with 12 points. Turkey has 9 points, Georgia - 3, Bulgaria - 0.
