Heavy fighting has broken out along the Durand Line on the Afghan-Pakistan border, Tolonews reports.

“Local sources report large-scale clashes between Taliban forces and the Pakistani army along the Durand Line,” the report says.

It is noted that fierce fighting is underway in Kunar, Nangarhar, and Helmand provinces. Taliban forces have attacked Pakistani border posts from several directions. According to reports, Pakistani troops have abandoned their positions and retreated in some areas.

“Local sources also confirmed the fall of one of the Pakistani army border posts in the Bahramcha district of Helmand province,” the publication reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the latest reports, two Pakistani soldiers and five Taliban militants have been killed. Pakistani fighter jets have also taken to the air.
