The Times of Israel reports that overnight and this morning, the IDF began withdrawing troops from the Gaza Strip to agreed deployment lines.
This is in accordance with an agreement with Hamas to secure the release of all hostages held by the terrorist group.
Some forces have reportedly been completely withdrawn from Gaza, while others will remain in positions along the deployment lines.
The withdrawal took place under the cover of artillery fire and air strikes in some areas.
