Generation Z 212 protests continue in Morocco

The protests of the "Generation Z 212" movement continue in Moroccan cities. Participants in the demonstrations are demanding the government's resignation due to inflation and crises in the health and education sectors.

The reason for the demonstrations, which began in late September, was the government's plan to build a stadium for the World Cup. It will take place in 2030. The project will cost $5 billion.

"Generation Z 212" has published an open letter to King Mohammed VI of Morocco. It calls on the monarch to dissolve the government, release political prisoners, hold corrupt officials accountable, and reform the civil service system.

The demonstrations in Morocco began peacefully but later turned into riots and clashes with the police. At least three people were killed during the protests, and about three hundred were injured. Hundreds of protesters were arrested.
