Ilham Aliyev thanked Vladimir Putin for the detailed information about the AZAL plane. The Azerbaijani President once again congratulated him on his birthday during his meeting with the Russian President in Dushanbe.
According to Aliyev, relations between Russia and Azerbaijan have thrived in all directions this year.
The Azerbaijani President noted that he does not doubt that the investigation, which Putin personally heads, will objectively determine the causes of the AZAL plane crash. He also recalled that he and Putin have been in contact since the AZAL incident.
During the meeting with Putin, he expressed confidence that today's messages from the presidents would be well received.
The meeting between Putin and Aliyev lasted about 1 hour.
