At approximately 9:30 a.m., a truck caught fire in central Paris. There were gas cylinders inside the car, but they were not damaged. Small aerosol cans were the cause of the fire, Le Parisien reported.
The incident occurred near the residence of recently resigned French Prime Minister Sebastien Le Corneille.
The figure reportedly met with members of his faction this morning. The planned event was to be attended by Edouard Philippe, National Assembly President Yaël Braun-Pivet, and Senate President Gérard Larcher.
