Putin and Netanyahu had a phone conversation

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Kremlin press service reported.

Putin and Netanyahu discussed the issue of finding a negotiated solution to the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program. The interlocutors also discussed developments in the Middle East in the context of Trump's plan to settle the problem in the Gaza Strip. Putin reaffirmed Russia's unwavering position in favor of a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue based on international law.

In a conversation with Netanyahu, Putin congratulated the people of Israel on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Netanyahu expressed his best wishes to Putin on the eve of his birthday.
