US and Turkish Presidents Donald Trump and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have held a telephone conversation, the Turkish presidential administration reported.
According to the report, the parties discussed bilateral relations and the situation in Gaza. Erdogan noted that his recent visit to Washington had strengthened Turkish-American ties, especially in the defense sector, and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation.
Erdogan also said that Turkey is actively working to ensure peace in the region, paying special attention to the cessation of Israeli attacks as a key condition for a successful settlement.
