An interesting incident occurred today during the 7th summit of the EU political community.
While Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was talking to Polish journalists, one of them decided to ask Viktor Orbán a question in English.
When asked who the main threat to Europe is, Orbán responded: not Russia.
“We are stronger than Russia. Make some comparisons and base your opinion on facts. We have a population of over 400 million, and Russia has about 130 million. Look at the GDP of Europe and Russia. Together, we spend more on the military than the Russians. Then why are we afraid? We are stronger than they are. The question is whether we have the leadership to unite and defend our interests together. That is what we should do anyway,” he said.
