Prime Minister Kobakhidze has insisted that Georgia’s goal of EU membership by 2030 is entirely achievable, despite stalled negotiations and strained relations with the European Union.
In his Euronews article, Kobakhidze wrote that Georgia’s path to EU membership “remains stable and irreversible” and that Tbilisi’s goal of joining the European Union by 2030 is “realistic and achievable” based on the reforms implemented by his government so far.
The Georgian leader also took the opportunity to highlight his government’s role as a key player in the strained relations between Tbilisi and the European Union, following the suspension of talks on the South Caucasus country’s EU membership by both sides.
