Ilham Aliyev met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Copenhagen.
He congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the Moldovan parliamentary elections, stating that these elections reflect the will of the Moldovan people.
In turn, Maia Sandu congratulated Aliyev on the results achieved in Washington on the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the support of the United States.
Aliyev stressed that the results achieved on the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan are of historical significance. The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for developing bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on the broad opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector.
