Hamas has yet to respond to Donald Trump's plan for Gaza, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israeli troops will remain in most of the territory.
A senior Hamas official said on Monday that the group had not yet received the 20-point plan.
However, AFP later reported that mediators from Qatar and Egypt had met with Hamas to provide them with a document.
