EU to provide Ukraine with 2 billion euros for drones

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced ahead of the start of the Commission’s Security Council meeting in Brussels that the European Commission has reached an agreement with Ukraine to allocate €2 billion for the production of uncrewed aerial vehicles.

The funding is intended to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and develop high-tech capabilities.

“This will allow Ukraine to expand and use its full potential. It will also allow the EU to benefit from this technology,” she explained.
