Four European Union countries—France, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands—paid Russia more for the supply of liquefied natural gas in 2022-2025 than they spent on helping Kyiv, according to a publication by the international environmental organization Greenpeace.

As stated in the document, France, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands paid 34.3 billion euros for gas supplies to Russia in 2022-2025.

During the same period, they provided financial assistance to Ukraine for € 21.2 billion.
