Pedro Sánchez’s government continues to take measures to prevent arms supplies to Israel. Last week, the Spanish government approved the lifting of multi-million-euro contracts and an arms embargo with the country.
It has now banned the United States from using the military bases of Rota (Cádiz) and Morón de la Frontera (Seville) to supply weapons to Israel.
According to El País, the measure applies to ships sailing directly to and from the Jewish state.
“Rota and Morón are Spanish military bases. Everything that happens, the Spanish authorities must authorize it there,” the sources added.
