I told the US president that it is time to start our relations on a new page, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili told reporters in New York, summing up the results of his visit.
According to him, the US president promised him that he would return to the issue of starting relations from a clean slate.
"The public is probably interested in the dinner organized by the President of the United States of America, during which we met. I told him that it is time to start our relations again, to which he replied that he would discuss this issue. He promised to return to this topic and definitely contact me. Let's wait for his answer. We have had many other meetings with the administration, the Minister of Trade," said Mikheil Kavelashvili.
