US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in New York. After that, Trump wrote on social networks that Ukraine can regain all the territories it lost.
“I am convinced that Ukraine, with the support of the EU, can fight and restore its integrity,” Trump said. “With time, patience, and financial support from Europe, particularly NATO, it is possible to return to the original borders of the war.”
Earlier, Trump said that Ukraine would not be able to return all the territories that Russia occupied since 2014, including Crimea.
Responding to Trump’s statement, Zelensky emphasized that his position was now closer to the Ukrainian perspective. “Trump himself is a game-changer,” Zelensky told reporters.
