The Taliban rejected Trump

The Taliban have announced that they will not comply with US President Donald Trump's demand to return the Bagram military base, which Washington used during the 20-year war in Afghanistan. Al Jazeera reports this.

The Afghan authorities have emphasized that the independence and territorial integrity of the country are a priority.

"Instead of repeating the failed attempts of the past, it is necessary to implement a realistic and common-sense policy," the government statement said.

Trump recently said that he was interested in returning the base.

"We are currently negotiating with Afghanistan and want to return the base as quickly as possible. If they do not do this, you will know what I will do," Trump told reporters at the White House.
