According to Bloomberg, India will not stop importing Russian oil in the coming months. In November and December, supplies will remain, but they will be in smaller volumes than before.
In the first weeks of August, when President Donald Trump imposed tariffs and Ukrainian drones struck Russian infrastructure, India's imports fell to about 1 million barrels per day, the lowest figure in two years.
However, after the improvement of relations between Trump and Modi, India plans to increase purchases of Russian oil again. The authorities have not given any explicit instructions to oil refineries about stopping imports. At the same time, Bloomberg notes that the situation may change depending on the outcome of ongoing trade negotiations.
