Ilham Aliyev received the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
Kos conveyed her congratulations on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Commissioner noted that successful cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan has been established in the energy sector and noted the great prospects for further development of cooperation in the transport sector.
Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to promote the peace agenda in the region.
Regarding the good opportunities for establishing transport links in the region, Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is intensively working on creating road and transport infrastructure. In particular, he emphasized the importance of the road and railway lines leading to Zangela.
