The world's longest non-stop flight has been launched: it will last about 30 hours

China Eastern Airlines has opened ticket sales for a flight from Shanghai to Buenos Aires. The carrier has already called the route the world's longest non-stop flight. Flights will be operated twice a week with Boeing 777-300ERs.

The airline has also called the route the "air Silk Road" between the Asia-Pacific region and South America.

It will take 25.5 hours to reach the Argentine capital, and 29 hours in the opposite direction. The routes include a two-hour stopover in New Zealand so that passengers can rest.

Currently, the longest non-stop flight is operated by Singapore Airlines. You can fly from Singapore to New York in 18 hours. Every year, 65 thousand passengers use the route.
