EU Enlargement Commissioner to visit Armenia

The EU Embassy in Armenia announced that EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos will visit Armenia on September 19 and 20.

The visit is crucial in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It will provide an opportunity to present the EU’s interregional connectivity agenda as a real contribution to regional development.

Commissioner Kos will meet with President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, and Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan.

She will attend the signing ceremony of two projects with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, visit the EU4SEVAN biodiversity project site, and tour the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.

The Commissioner will also meet with civil society organizations, women leaders, and Young European Ambassadors.

It should be noted that the EU Commissioner is currently in Baku and met with Ilham Aliyev.
